AN ACT to amend the Wheat Pool Act, 1932-1949.

[Assented to 27th December, 1956.]

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Wheat Pool

and citation.

Act Amendment Act, 1956.

(2)

In this Act the Wheat Pool Act, 1932-1949,

Act No. 54 of 1932 as amended by Acts Nos. 61 and 81 of 1948, and 32 of 1949,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Wheat Pool Act, 1932-1956.

2. Section one of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by adding after the section designation, "1", the subsection designation, "(1)"; and

(b)

by adding the following subsection:

(2) A day not having been fixed by proclamation, pursuant to subsection (1) of this section, for the coming into opera- tion of this Act, and the Corporation, Firm, growers, Growers' Council, Trus- tees, and other bodies and persons having, in good faith and on the erroneous assumption that this Act was then in operation, done, suffered, or permitted, acts, matters and things, which, had this Act then been in operation would have been valid and effective, or subject to the operation of any provision of this Act, it is hereby expressly enacted

(a)

that Act No. 54 of 1932 shall be deemed to have been proclaimed to come into operation, and to have come into operation, on the day on which that Act was assented to, namely the thirtieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two; and

(b)

that all acts, matters, and things, so done, suffered, or per- mitted, shall be deemed to be, or to have been, as valid and effective, or if the case requires, subject to any relevant provision of this Act, in all respects as if when so done, suffered or per- mitted, this Act had in fact been in operation, and are hereby ratified and confirmed.
