[ASSENTED TO 12TH NOVEMBER, 1936.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queenslandin Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title. 1. (1.) Amendm,mt 3. The first paragraph of section eight ~ f the of s. 8. Principal Act, being the paragraph commencing with the words "A ship" and ending with the words "or treating whales," is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the following words, namely :-" or the ship is duly authorised by the Government of the country whose flag she flies to engage in taking, killing, or treating whales." Amendment 4. Section eleven of the Principal Act is amended of s. 11. a,s follows:- (i.) In paragraph (a) of subsection one of the said section the words "shall be," where they twice occur, are repealed, and the word " is" is respectively inserted in lieu thereof. (ii.) In paragraph (b) of the said subsection one the words "shall be" are repealed and the word "is" is inserted in lieu thereof. * 26 Geo. V. No. 39, 8upra, page 1543l. t 26 Geo. V. FISHERIES-GAMING AND VAGRANTS. 1 Enw. VIII. No. 24, 1936. Racecourses Acts, Etc., Amendment Act. 15739 (iii.) In paragraph (c) of the said subsection one the words " shall be " are repealed and the word " are" is mserted in lieu thereof. (iv.) In paragraph (d) of the said subsection one the words "shall be," firstly occurring, are repealed and the word "is" is inserted in lieu thereof. (v.) The word "and" is added to paragraphs (iv.) and (v.) of paragraph (e) of the said subsection one. 5. In section fourteen of the Principal Act the Amendment words "to a considerable extent" are repealed, and of B. 14. the words " to any extent" are inserted in lieu thereof. 6. In paragraph (a) of subsection one of section Amendment sixteen the words" Board or enter any ship or factory" of s. 16. are repealed, and the words "Board any ship or enter any factory" are inserted in lieu thereof. PART I.-PRELIMINARY; PART H.-AMENDMENTS OF *" THE RACECOURSES ACTS, 1923 TO 1930"; * 14 Geo. V. No. 23 and 21 Geo. V. No. 19, supra, pages 10526 and 13178.
