Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Western Lands Act 1901.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Western Lands Regulation 1997 to provide that the interest rate charged under the Western Lands Act 1901 for arrears and other sums payable under leases is consistent with the interest rate charged under the Crown Lands Act 1989.
This Regulation is made under the Western Lands Act 1901, including section 36

(the general regulation-making power).

Western Lands Amendment Regulation 2001

  1. Name of Regulation

    This Regulation is the Western Lands Amendment Regulation 2001.

  2. Amendment of Western Lands Regulation 1997

    The Western Lands Regulation 1997 is amended as set out in

    Schedule 1.

Omit “on sums payable and in arrears is 15 per cent”. of the

Crown Lands Act 1989”.

  1. Clause 17 Interest on sums payable: section 36C

Omit “is 15 per cent per annum”. of the Crown Lands Act 1989”.
