AN ACT to amend section two hundred and five of
the Western Australian Marine Act, 1948-1977.
[Assented to 18th May, 1978.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

Section 205
| amended. | 2. Section 205 of the principal Act is amended |
| (a) | by inserting after the section designation "205." the subsection designation "(1)"; |
| (b) | by deleting the word "reward", being the last word in the section, and substituting the passage "reward, and any other vessel which the Minister may declare pursuant to subsection (2) of this section to be a vessel to which the provisions of this Division of this Part of this Act apply"; and |
| (c) | by adding three new subsections as follows |
(2) The Minister may, from time to time, by order under his hand declare that the provisions of this Division of this Part of this Act shall apply to any vessel, or any type of vessel, (not being a vessel required to be licensed pursuant to section one hundred and eighty-five of this Act or the subject of enactment under any other Part of this Act), specified in that order, and thereupon effect shall be given to the order according to its tenor and such provisions shall apply to and in relation to any such vessel.
(3) An order made pursuant to sub- section (2) of this section shall be published for general information in the Government Gazette as soon as is practicable after it is made, but any failure to comply with the requirement of this subsection shall not affect the validity of the order.
(4) An order made pursuant to sub- section (2) of this section may be revoked by the Minister by notice published in the Government Gazette. .
