AN ACT to amend the Western Australian Institute

of Technology Act, 1966-1968.

[Assented to 29th September, 1969.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Western =Iran.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Western Australian Institute of Technology Act, 1966-1969.

Amendment

to s. 9.

2. Subsection (1) of section 9 of the principal

Act is amended

(a) by deleting paragraph (b); and

(b)

by substituting for the word "two", in line one of paragraph (i), the word "three".

s. 17A.

3. The principal Act is amended by adding after

section 17 a section as follows-

Amendment

to s. 23.

4. Section 23 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by adding after the word "shall", in line four of subsection (3), the passage ", subject to subsection (4) of this section,"; and

(b) by adding a subsection as follows

(4) Expenditure incurred for the purposes of giving effect to section seventeen A of this Act shall be paid out of such moneys in the account referred to in subsection (2) of this section as the Treasurer approves. .
