An Act to
amend the Western Australia Grant (Water Supply) Act 1948–1955.
[Assented to 20th November, 1957.]
BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the
House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of
appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as
follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Western
Australia Grant (Water Supply)
Act 1957.
(2.) The Western Australia Grant (Water Supply) Act 1948–1955*
is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
(3.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may
be cited as the Western Australia Grant (Water Supply) Act 1948–1957.
Commencement.
2.This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the
Royal Assent.
Appropriation of amount not
exceeding £5,000,000.
3. Section four of the Principal Act is amended
by omitting the words “Four million pounds” and inserting in their stead the
words “Five million pounds”.
Basis of payments.
4.
