WEST SCHOLARSHIPS (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 7, 1965.

An Act to extend the class of schools and other Elizabeth n,

institutions at which scholarships under the West Scholarships Act, 1930, as amended by subsequent Acts, may be held; for this purpose to amend that Act, as so amended; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 1st October, 1965.]

T>E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by " and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: —

1.      (1) This Act may be cited as the “West Scholarships short title

(Amendment) Act, 1965”. and citation.

No, 7r 1965 (2) The West Scholarships Act, 1930, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the West Scholarships Act, 1930-1965.

2. The West Scholarships Act, 1930, as amended by

19, 1930. ' subsequent Acts, is amended by omitting from subsection

Sec. 6. three of section six the words “The scholarships shall be

(Application tenable at a public school, school registered under the Bursary of revenue.) Endowment Act, 1912 , University or technical or agricultural

college within the State.” and by inserting in lieu thereof the

following paragraph : —

The scholarships shall be tenable at—

(a)	a public school, or a school registered under the Bursary Endowment Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, within the State;
(b)	a school maintained by or on behalf of the Commonwealth, or a school certified under the Education Ordinance 1937-1964 of the Australian

. , Capital Territory or any provisions amending or

■	'■'' replacing that Ordinance, within that Territory; or
(c) a University or technical or agricultural college within the State or that Territory.
