An Act to subdivide the Electoral District of
Wentworth. [28th December, 1887.]
| BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with | lative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legis the authority of the same, as follows :— |
| 1. This Act may be cited as the " Wentworth Electorate Sub division Act," and shall commence and take effect from the date of the next dissolution of the Legislative Assembly, except as is herein after provided. | |
| 2. The Electoral District of Wentworth as constituted by the " Electoral Act of 1880," hereinafter termed the Principal Act, shall be divided into three Electoral Districts, to be designated respectively the Electoral Districts of Wentworth, Wilcannia, and Sturt, and each such district shall return one Member to serve in the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales, in accordance with the conditions and subject to the qualifications, restrictions, and all other, the provisions of the Principal Act as amended by this Act. | |
| 3. After the passing of this Act electoral lists for the said electoral districts established by this Act shall be made, and all other proceedings taken and had relative thereto in manner provided by the Principal Act for lists to be made thereunder, and as if such electoral districts had been included in the said Act, and such |
E electoral electoral lists when revised in manner provided for the revision of lists made under the said Act, shall be the rolls of electors for the respective electoral districts under this Act for which they are compiled.
4. Immediately after the passing of this Act, and for the purpose of providing for a general election occurring before the rolls for the said electoral districts shall come into operation, the names contained in the electoral roll for the time being in force for the existing Electoral District of Wentworth shall be arranged under the direction of the Inspector-General of Police, so as to form three electoral rolls, one for each of the three electoral districts established under this Act. Each such roll shall contain the names of electors whose qualifications arise within or are derived from the electoral district for which such roll is compiled. And such rolls shall be certified under the hand of the said Inspector-General, and trans mitted by him to the Government Printer. A copy of any such roll, purporting to have been printed at the Government Printing Office, shall be deemed to be the roll to be used at such general election for the electoral district for which it has been prepared.
5. In case of any vacancy of a seat for the Electoral District of
"Wentworth as constituted under the Principal Act, occurring before the next general election, and after the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, the three electoral rolls which shall have been made under section three of this Act shall, combined, be the electoral roll to be used at any election to fill any such vacancy.
6. Sections six, seven, eight, and nine of the Principal Act shall not apply to any of the Electoral Districts established by this Act.7. The boundaries of the said Electoral Districts contained in the Schedule to this Act shall be substituted for the boundaries of the Electoral District of Wentworth contained in Schedule A of the Principal Act.
SCHEDULE.
WENTWORTH.
Commencing at a point on the dividing boundary as marked by Mr. Licensed
Surveyor M'Cormack, in one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, for the Pastoral
twenty miles north-westerly from the marked north-east corner-post for the Darling Districts of Albert and Darling, at the eastern boundary of Manara Pun, at a point Pastoral Districts ; thence by parts of the eastern and southern boundaries of that run southerly and westerly to the boundary dividing Arlington Plains Block A and 15 Run ; thence by that boundary and the boundary dividing Kilfera Blocks K, L, M, N, and North Clare Block B, from those of Kilfera J, H. F, D, and A Puns southerly to the south-west corner of North Clare Block B Pun as aforesaid, at the south-east corner of Kilfera Block A Run ; thence on the south by the south boundaries of Kilfera Blocks A aforesaid and B and C westerly ; and by a line in continuation westerly to the east boundary of North Panban Pun ; and thence by the east and north boundaries of that run northerly and westerly to the north-western corner of that run ; thence again on the east by the boundary dividing North Panban, Panban, Garnpung, G-algalman, North
Tarlee, North Tarlee Block A, and Outer Back Tarlee Block C Runs from West Panban Blocks B and A, East Tarcoola, East Tarcoola Block A, Outer Back Bullanmong, Arumpo, Baraguy, and Marina Runs, southerly, westerly, and again southerly to the south western corner of Outer Back Tarlee Block C aforesaid ; and thence by the south boundary of the latter run easterly to the north-western corner of Outer Back Tarlee Block B ; and thence by the western boundaries of that run and Back Boomiaricool Run southerly and the eastern boundary of Gulthul Pun southerly, westerly, and again southerly to the north boundary of Caringy Run; thence by the north and west boundaries of that run westerly and southerlyto its south-western corner; and thence by a line bearing southerly to the confluence of Taila Creek with the Murray River; thence by that river downwards to the boundary dividing New South Wales from South Australia; on the west by that boundary bearing north to the south-west corner of Ophara Holding; thence

on the north by the boundaries dividing Burta and part of Netley Holdings from Ophara, Thackaringa, and Redan, and part of Kinchega Holdings, to the south-east corner of Ecdan Holding ; thence by a line north-easterly to the most western corner of Weiuter- iga Holding; thence by the south-western boundary of that holding to the Darling River; thence by that river upwards to the south-west corner of Teryawynia Holding ; thence by the south boundary of that holding and its prolongation bearing east to the point of commencement.
WlLCANNIA.
Commencing at a point about five miles west from the Paroo River; thence on the east by the western or back boundaries of all runs fronting to the western side of the Paroo River southerly to the northern boundary of Mullawoolka West Run, by that boundary westerly, and by the east, north, and west boundaries of Tongo Run north westerly and southerly to Tongo Creek ; thence by the west boundary of Tongo South Fun southerly to its south-west corner; thence by the western boundaries of Yertabangee Fun south-westerly to the north-west corner of East Peri Fun ; thence by the west boundary of East Peri Fun southerly and the west boundary of Bathing Springs Run southerly to its south-west corner; thence by three miles of the south boundary of that run easterly to its intersection with the south-westerly boundary of Mount Jack Run ; thence by that boundary south-easterly and the south-western boundaries of Mount Macpherson Block One, Mount Macpherson Block A, and Mount Macpherson Run, Walker's Twenty-two Camp Back Run, and Walker's Twenty-two Camp Run south easterly to the Darling River; and thence by that river downwards to the tipper boundary of Merry Run; thence by that boundary and the north-oast boundary of Outer Merry Run south-easterly to the eastern corner of the latter run ; thence by the south-east boundary of Outer Merry Run and Onondoo Run south-westerly to the north-east boundary of Wongolarroo Run, by that boundary south-easterly to the south-east corner of that run ; thence by the south-east boundary of that run south-westerly to its south corner ; thence by a line bearing about south seven degrees east by compass to the dividing boundary as marked by Mr. Licensed Surveyor M'Cormack, in one thousand eight hundred and sixty-live, for the pastoral districts of Darling and Albert, at the east boundary of Manara Run, at a point twenty miles north-westerly from the marked north-east corner-post for the Darling Pastoral District; thence on the south by a line westerly to the south-east corner of Teryawynia Holding; thence by the south boundary of that holding to the Darling River ; thence by that river downwards to the south-east corner of Weintcriga Holding ; thence along the south boundary of that holding north-westerly to its most western corner ; thence on the west by the boundaries dividing Weintcriga, Mena Murtee, Tarella, Tancannia, Salisbury Downs, Connulpie, Olive Downs, and Carapundy Swamp West Holdings on tho one side, from part of Kinchega, Glenlyon, Cuthowarra, Grassmere, Gnalta, Noonthorungce, Turkey Creek, Kayrunnera, Morden, Cobham Lake, Yantara, Mount Wood, and Onepar Holdings on the other side, to the twenty-nineth parallel of south latitude, being the boundary between New South Wales and Queensland ; thence on the north by that boundary easterly to the point of com mencement.

| north-west corner of Carapundy Swamp West Holding ; thence on the east by the boun daries dividing Carapundy Swamp West, Olive Downs, Connulpie, Salisbury Downs, Yaneannia, Taralla, MenaMurtee, and Weinteriga Holdings on the one side, from Onepar, Mount Wood, Yantara, Cobham Lake, Morden, Wonominta, Kayrunnera, Turkey Creek, Noonthorungee, Gnalta, Grassmere, Cuthowarra, and Glenlyon Holdings on the other side,to the most western corner of Weintcriga Holding; thence by a line south westerly to the south-east corner of Redan Holding ; thence on the south by the bounda ries dividing Redan, part of Kinchega, Thackaringa, and Ophara Holdings, from Burta- and part of Netley Holdings, to the point of commencement. |
