Weights and Measures (National Standards) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)

GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of
the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the
Dated 2 August 1984.

Minister of State for Science and Technology
Regulation 5 of the Weights and Measures (National Standards) Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:
“5. The metre is the length of the path travelled by light in a vacuum during a time interval of 1/299 792 458 of a second.”.
