AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Weights and Measures Ordinance 1929-1971.

hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government
(Administration) Act 1910-1972.

WEIGHTS AND MEASURES ORDINANCE 1973

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Weights and Measures

Ordinance 1973.*

(2) The Weights and Measures Ordinance 1929-19711 is in this

Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may

be cited as the Weights and Measures Ordinance 1929-1973.

2. Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19 of the Principal

Ordinance are repealed.

3. Section 34A of the Principal Ordinance is repealed and the follow­

" 3 4 A . (1) Subject to sub-section ( 2 ) , all bread made or offered for sale in the Territory shall be made into loaves weighing 8 ounces, 12 ounces, 16 ounces, 24 ounces, 32 ounces or 64 ounces, or 225 grams, 340 grams, 450 grams, 680 grams, 900 grams or 1800 grams.
" (2) This section does not apply to or in relation to bread rolls, or to bread usually sold under the name of Vienna, French or fancy bread.".

4. The Second and Third Schedules to the Principal Ordinance are

repealed.
