of New South AValcs passed in the third year of tlie reign of His late Majesty King Mhlliam the Eourth intituled “ An Act for cstahlishimj Standard JP'cights and Pleasures and for preventing the “ the use of such as are false and deficient'' it was amongst other things enacted that certain 'Weights and Measures of the Standard in force and in use in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland denominated Imperial Weights and Measures which then were and now are deposited in the Colonial Iheasury in Sydney should be the Standard 'Weights and IMeasures of New Soutli 'Wales And \\Iicreas several sets of Standard Weights and Measures duly verified and stam])cd at the ExcheqiU'r at Westminster have r('cently arrived in this Colony from tlie proper autliorities in England (of each set of which a Schedule marked with the letter A is hereunto annexed) And whereas it is expedient that such last mentioned 'Weights and Measures should he the Standard Weights and Measures of New South Wales

A set of lino bra.ss spherical weights, being also models and cojisss of the i'ixclnnp.ier Standards (umsisting of .5(3 'dS 1-f 7 4 2 and 1 avoirdupoi.s pounds S I 2 and 1 avoirdupois ounces H 1 2 and 1 draehms and 1 half drachm.

One Imperial Standard yard bed and rod

One d feet scale eontaining the yard foot ami incii.

One set consisting of 111 flat glasses for correctly filling the mcas\ires.
