An Ordinance for better regulating the In-

spection of Weights and Measures.

HEREAS by an Act or Oadinance passed in the third year

of the reign of His late Majesty King William the Fourth,

intituled "an Act for the Regulation of Weights and Measures,"

by certain Examiners acting under the written direction of some cease. -under3rdWm. 1::1to

tion should hereafter be made by Inspectors, with independent au- thority in that behalf, tb be appointed as hereinafter mentioned ;—Be it therefore enaeted, by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, that from and after the passing of this Ordinance, the office of any Examiner appointed under the said Ordinance shall cease and determine; and that it shall be law- fnl for the said Governor from time to time, by warrant under his hand, to appoint any number of fit and proper persons, being Justi-

Inspector empowered II. AND be it enacted, that it shall be lawful for any such In-
