Weapons Regulations1 (Amendment)

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Weapons Act 1991.

Commencement

1.  These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.

Principal Regulations

2.  In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Weapons Regulations.

Approved reasons

3.  Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a)by inserting at the beginning the following subregulation:

“(1)  For the purposes of paragraph 5 (1) (nc) of the Act, the following sporting organisations are prescribed:

ACT Athletics Inc.

ACT Cross Country Inc.

ACT Little Athletics Association Inc.

ACT Veterans Athletics Club Inc.

Canberra Yacht Club

Yachting Association of NSW (ACT Zone Committee).”; and

(b)by omitting “For the” and substituting “(2)  For the”.
