Weapons Amendment Regulations 2010

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Weapons Amendment
Regulations 2010.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Weapons Regulations 1999.

4.             Regulation 12 inserted

After regulation 11 insert:

12.           Exception for police officers from other Australian jurisdictions or under Cross-border Justice Act 2008

A person does not commit an offence under section 6,
7 or 8 of the Act only because of something done by
the person in the performance of the person’s functions
as —

(a)	a member of the Australian Federal Police; or
(b)	a member of the police force of another State or a Territory; or
(c)	a police officer of this State, South Australia or the Northern Territory under the Cross-border Justice Act 2008 section 7(1).
