This regulation may be cited as the Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 1991 . Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 21 October 1991. Amended regulations 3. The Weapons Regulations 1990 are amended as set out in this regulation. Name of provision units 4.(1) A provision of the Weapons Regulations 1990 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a regulation may be called a section. (2) A provision of the Weapons Regulations 1990 that was, immediately before the commencement of this section, called a subregulation may be called a subsection. (3) A reference in the Weapons Regulations 1990 to a regulation or subregulation of the regulations designated by a number is a reference to a section or subsection of the regulations designated by that number.

3 Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 1991 Replacement of s.1.1 (Short title) 5. Section 1.1— omit, insert— ‘Short title ‘1.1 This regulation may be cited as the Weapons Regulation 1990 . ’. Amendment of s.1.3 (Interpretation) 6. Section 1.3— insert — ‘ “approved form” means a form approved by the Commissioner for the purposes specified in the form; ’. Amendment of s.1.5 (Fees) 7. At the end of section 1.5— insert — ‘(2) If an application for a licence or approval is rejected, the application fee less the processing fee is to be refunded to the applicant. ’. Insertion of new s.2.5 8. After section 2.4— insert in Part 2— ‘Application for exemption ‘2.5 For the purposes of section 1.5(k) of the Act, the Commissioner may grant a person an exemption if the person gives the Commissioner an

After section 3.2— insert in Part 3— ‘Particulars of acquisition ‘3.3 For the purposes of section 3.14 of the Act, the following particulars are the prescribed particulars — (a) the name, address and licence number of the person acquiring the weapon; and (b) the date of acquisition of the weapon; and (c) the name, address and licence number of the person disposing of the weapon; and (d) the make and model of the weapon; and (e) the calibre of the weapon; and (f) the magazine or chamber capacity of the weapon; and (g) the type of the weapon; and (h) the serial number of the weapon. ’. Amendment of Schedule 1 (Forms) 10.(1) Schedule 1— omit the index. (2) Schedule 1— after Form 9, insert —
