Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2010 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2010 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Weapons Regulation 1996. 3 Amendment of s 2A (Definitions) Section 2A, ‘Act’— omit, insert— ‘regulation’. 4 Replacement of s 6 (Licence or licence renewal to be applied for at police station or establishment) Section 6— omit, insert— ‘6 Applying for licence or licence renewal ‘An application for a licence, or renewal of a licence, may be made only— (a) at a police station or police establishment; or (b) in a way published on the QPS website including, for example, by submitting the application online.’. ’. 5 Omission of s 8 (Licence must be signed immediately after receipt) Section 8— omit. Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2010 [s 6] 6 Replacement of s 55 (Where to apply for permit to acquire) Section 55— omit, insert— ‘55 Applying for permit to acquire ‘An application for a permit to acquire may be made only— (a) at a police station or police establishment; or (b) in a way published on the QPS website including, for example, by submitting the application online.’. 7 Amendment of sch 3 (Dictionary) Schedule 3— insert— ‘ QPS website means the website used by the commissioner to provide public access to information about matters relating to this regulation.
