s1 2 s4 Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 No. 290, 2006 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Weapons Regulation 1996 . 3 Insertion of new s 61A After section 61— insert— ‘61A Licensed collector who wants to move weapons to a place outside Queensland ‘(1) This section applies if a licensed collector wants to move weapons to which the licence relates from premises specified in the licence to a place outside Queensland. ‘(2) For section 83(2) 1 of the Act, the licensed collector must apply to an authorised officer for a decision whether an authorised officer is satisfied that the way of transporting the weapons ensures their safekeeping whilst in Queensland.’. 4 Insertion of new pt 13 After section 81— insert— ‘Part 13 Transitional provisions ‘82 Transitional provision for Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006—application for approval to transfer collection of weapons to other premises ‘(1) This section applies if an application for approval to transfer a collection of weapons to other premises was made, but has not been decided before the commencement of this section. 1 Section 83 (Licensed collector leaving Queensland) of the Act

s5 3 s5 Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 No. 290, 2006 ‘(2) The application must be decided as if the Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 had not been made. ‘(3) If the other premises are outside Queensland, section 61A does not apply to the proposed transfer. ‘83 Transitional provision for Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006—approval to alter firing range etc. ‘(1) This section applies if an application for approval for an approved shooting club to alter, modify or permit alteration or modification, of the actual firing range or butts of the firing line in a material way was made, but has not been decided before the commencement of this section. ‘(2) The application must be decided as if the Weapons Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2006 had not been made.’. 5 Replacement of sch 1 (Fees) Schedule 1— omit, insert— ‘Schedule 1 Fees section 74 1 Application, under section 13 of the Act, for a licence . . . . . 2 Licence, or renewal of licence, for each year— (a) armourer’s licence . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
