and seal of Sir Augustus William Erederick Spencer Loftus, Governor of the Colony of New South Wales, bearing date the twenty- third day of March, one tliousand eight hundred and eighty-five, the lands di'scrihcd in the Schedule hereto were granted unto the Most Eevercnd Patrick I ’rancis Moran, tlic Very Ptcverend Jolin Eelix Slieridan, the lleverend Patrick Leonard Dunne, John Bede Baidow, and Michael ITagcrty, and their heirs upon trust as a site for a Homan Catholic Church : iVnd whereas it is expedient that the said lands should be sold, and that the proceeds to arise from sucli sale should be ayiplied in or towards the purchase of an eligible site for a Homan Catholic Church in the borough of Waverley, and the erection of such Church ; Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and Avith the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Jjogislative Assembly of New South AVales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as folloAVS :—

1. After the. passing of this Act, it shall be laAvful for tbe said Trustoes authorised

Patrick Erancis Moran, John Eelix Sheridan, Patrick Leonard Dnunc, John Bede Barlow, and Michael Ilagerty (hereinafter styled trustees), their heirs and assigns, or other the trustee or trustees for the time beiirg of the said grant of the twenty-third day of March, one thousand eight hundrtxl and eighty-five, to sell and absolutely dispose of the said lands by public auction or private contract, and eitber in one lot or several lots, as they shall deem most expedient, for such price or prices as can be had or obtained for th(> same, and Avhen sold to com’ey the same or any part or parts thereof to the purchaser or purchasers in fee simple, freed and discharged from the said trusts affecting the same; and the receipt in Avriting of the said trustees, their heirs or assigns, or of 11k‘ trustees or trustee for the time being of the said grant, shall

absolutely discharge the purchaser or purchasers of the said lands, or any part or parts thereof, from the purchase money payable by him or them from seeing to the application of the said purchase money and from all liability as to the misapplication or noii-a])piication thereof.

All that piece or parcel of land in onr said Colony contaiiiinp; by adiiieasurcmciit two roods, be the same more or less, situated in the conuty of Cumberland and ])arish of Alc.xandria, at Waverley: Commencing on the eastern side of a road one chain wide at a point distant one chain east fi'om the north-eastern corner of two roads (site for a pound); and bounded tlicnce on the west by that road dividing it from ]>art of that land bearing south two chains thirty-six links; on the south by a line bearing east two chains twelve links ; on the east by a line bearing north two chain.s thirl v-six links ; and on the north by a road one chain wide dividing it from S. H. and J. I’earco's four acres two roods bearing we.-̂ t two chaims twelve links, to the point of commencement.
