WATER SUPPLY AUTHORITIES ACT 1987—REGULATION

(Relating to the functions of the Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Water Supply Authorities Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Water Supply Authorities (Areas of Operations) Regulation 1987 is amended by omitting clause 5 and by inserting instead the following clause:

Functions of the Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust

5. For the purposes of section 13 (2) (b) of the Act, the Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust has, and may exercise, in its area all the functions of an Authority under the Act other than functions relating to the supply of water, provision of sewerage services and the disposal of trade waste and waste water.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to provide that the Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust (which is a water supply authority under the Water Supply Authorities Act 1987) has all the functions of a water supply authority under the Act, except those relating to water supply, sewerage services and disposal of waste.

This Regulation is made under the Water Supply Authorities Act 1987, including section 13 (2) (b) and section 66 (the general regulation making power).
