WATER SUPPLY AUTHORITIES ACT 1987—REGULATION

(Relating to the area of operations and functions of the Benerembah Irrigation

District Environment Protection Trust)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Water Supply Authorities Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Water Supply Authorities (Areas of Operations) Regulation 1987

is amended:

(a) by inserting after clause 3 (2) the following subclause:

(3) For the purposes of section 13 (1) of the Act, the area of operations of the Benerembah Irrigation District Environment Protection Trust is the area shown bounded by a red line on the map numbered 123–630 and deposited in the office of the Department of Water Resources at Parramatta.

(b) by inserting after clause 5 the following clause:
Functions of the Benerembah Irrigation District Environment
Protection Trust

6. For the purposes of section 13 (2) of the Act, the Benerembah Irrigation District Environment Protection Trust has, and may exercise in its area, only the functions of an Authority that may be exercised in relation to a drainage area service charge.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Water Supply Authorities (Areas of Operations) Regulation 1987 to specify the area of operations of the Benerembah Irrigation District Environment Protection Trust and to enable the Trust to exercise drainage functions in that area.
