I, Melinda Pavey, Minister for Water, Property and Housing, in pursuance of section 45 (1) of the Water Management Act 2000, being satisfied it is in the public interest to do so, make the following Order to amend the Water Sharing Plan for the NSW Great

Artesian Basin Shallow Groundwater Sources 2011.

Explanatory note

This Order is made under section 45 (1) of the Water Management Act 2000. The object of this Order is to amend the Water Sharing Plan for the NSW Great Artesian

Basin Shallow Groundwater Sources 2011. The concurrence of the Minister for the

Environment was obtained prior to the making of this Order as required under section
45 of the Water Management Act 2000.

1       Name of Order

This Order is the Water Sharing Plan for the NSW Great Artesian Basin Shallow

Groundwater Sources Amendment Order 2019.

2       Commencement

This Order commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

[1]      Clause 4 Application of the Plan

Omit clause 4 (2) and the note to the clause. Insert instead:

The boundaries of the groundwater sources are shown on the Plan Map

(WSP014_Version 2) Water Sharing Plan for the NSW Great Artesian Basin Shallow

Groundwater Sources 2019 (hereafter the Plan Map), held by the Department.

Notes.

1	The Plan Map shows the extent of the groundwater sources across the plan area. The extent of the groundwater sources below the surface of the ground is described in subclause (3).
2	The Plan Map is part of this Plan and is available on the NSW legislation website. An overview of the Plan Map is shown in Appendix 1.
