s1 2 s3 Water Resources (Sugar Mill Assessments) Amendment (No. 1) No. 167, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Water Resources (Sugar Mill Assessments) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1996 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the WaterResources(SugarMillAssessments) Regulation 1996 . ˙ Replacement of s 3 (Repeal) 3. Section 3— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Assessment by chief executive on sugarcane or sugar—Act, s 175 ‘ 3.(1) The chief executive, as the person administering the Pioneer Valley Water Supply Area, may make and levy an assessment in accordance with section 175 of the Act. ‘ (2) For making and levying an assessment— (a) the assessment must be— (i) made and levied under section 175(3)(b); and (ii) not more than $20.07 a tonne of mill peak; and (b) the proportions for paying the assessment are— • sugar mill owner—100% • sugarcane grower—NIL.’.
