2 Water Resources (North Burdekin Sugar Cane Assessment) No. 170, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Water Resources (North Burdekin Sugar Cane Assessment) Regulation 1993 . ˙ Authority to levy assessment (s.9.42 of the Act) 2. The North Burdekin Water Board is authorised to make and levy on the owners of the Kalamia Sugar Mill and the Pioneer Sugar Mill an assessment at the rate of 69 cents per tonne of sugar cane received at the owner’s mill during the last crushing season before 28 February 1994. ˙ Proportions of assessments payable 3. An assessment is payable by the persons mentioned below in the following proportions— (a) an owner of a mill mentioned in section 2—33 1 / 3 per cent; (b) the growers of the sugar cane—66 2 / 3 per cent.
