2 Water Resources (Bones Knob) Amendment (No. 1) No. 304, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Water Resources (Bones Knob) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Amended order 2. The order in council published in the Gazette on 13 March 1982 at pages 1044–6 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Replacement of recital and operative words 3. Recital and operative words— omit all words from ‘ WHEREAS by the provisions ’, to ‘ Clerk of the Council. ’. insert— ˙ ‘Short title ‘1. This order in council may be cited as the Water Resources (Bones Knob) Order 1982 . ˙ ‘Constitution of the area and Board ‘2.(1) A water area is constituted in relation to those areas of the State delineated in the map contained in Schedule 2 (other than Lot 1 on RP 727675). ‘(2) The area mentioned in subsection (1) is assigned the name—“Bones Knob Water Area”. ‘(3) A water board is constituted for the Bones Knob Water Area and assigned the name—“Bones Knob Water Board”. ˙ ‘Purpose of constitution of area ‘3. The area is constituted to enable the construction of works to provide an adequate supply of suitable water for stock watering and domestic use by means of a reticulated water supply system.

3 Water Resources (Bones Knob) Amendment (No. 1) No. 304, 1993 ˙ ‘Plan and description of work ‘4.(1) The layout of the proposed works is shown on the map in Schedule 2. ‘(2) The proposed works include— (a) the construction of a bore and bore hole pump; and (b) the construction of a holding tank and booster pump station; and (c) the laying of 3.25 km of rising main, the construction of a storage reservoir; and (d) the laying of 6 km of reticulation pipeline; and (e) the installing of service connections to each property. ˙ ‘Estimated cost of works ‘5.(1) The estimated capital cost of the works is $100 000 and will be paid for in the following contributions— (a) a Government subsidy of 50% of the capital cost—excluding capitalised interest; and (b) the estimated balance of $52 000 will be raised by the Board under the Act. ‘(2) The estimated annual cost to the Board, including annual interest and operating and maintenance costs is $10 500. ˙ ‘Constitution of Board ‘6.(1) The Board must consist of 4 members elected by the ratepayers in the area under the rules set out in Schedule 1. ‘(2) All members hold office for 3 years. ˙ ‘Method of rating ‘7.(1) The annual costs of the scheme will be paid for by the Board raising revenue by levying—

4 Water Resources (Bones Knob) Amendment (No. 1) No. 304, 1993 (a) rates on a rate per hectare; and (b) a charge for a domestic service; and (c) appropriate charges for— (i) use for other purposes; and (ii) for properties not requiring a full allocation. ’.
