Water Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2025

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Part 1 – Preliminary1.Citation

These regulations are the Water Regulations Amendment (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2025.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

• (a)

  Part 1 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

Part 2 – Rights in Water and Irrigation Regulations 2000 amended3.Regulations amended

This Part amends the Rights in Water and Irrigation Regulations 2000.

4.Regulation 52B amended

In regulation 52B:

• (a)

  delete paragraphs (b) and (c) and insert:

   
• (b)

  Deputy Director General Approvals;

• (c)

  Executive Director Statewide Delivery;

• (ca)

  Director Statewide Delivery ‑ Water Regulation;

• (cb)

  Director Statewide Delivery ‑ Integration;

   
• (b)

  delete paragraph (e) and insert:

   
• (e)

  Regional Director.

   

Part 3 – Water Agencies (Infringements) Regulations 1994 amended5.Regulations amended

This Part amends the Water Agencies (Infringements) Regulations 1994.

6.Regulation 5 amended

In regulation 5(1)(c):

• (a)

  delete subparagraphs (ii) and (iii) and insert:

   
  • (ii)

    Deputy Director General Approvals;

  • (iii)

    Executive Director Statewide Delivery;

  • (iiia)

    Director Statewide Delivery ‑ Water Regulation;

  • (iiib)

    Director Statewide Delivery ‑ Integration;

     
• (b)

  delete subparagraph (v) and insert:

   
  • (v)

    Regional Director Swan Avon;
