Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Water Management (General) Regulation 2018 to create an additional specific purpose access licence, namely the Snowy 2.0 project subcategory of the unregulated river access licence.

This Regulation is made under the Water Management Act 2000, including sections 57 (2), 61 (1) (a) (i) and
400 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Water Management (General) Amendment (Snowy 2.0)

Regulation 2019.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Water Management (General) Regulation 2018

(1) Clause 10 Applications for specific purpose access licences

Insert after clause 10 (1) (i):

(j) an unregulated river access licence (subcategory “Snowy 2.0 project”).

(2)	Schedule 3 Categories and subcategories of licences
Insert “Snowy 2.0 project” in appropriate order in Column 2 in the matter relating to the Unregulated river category of access licence.
