1997 No 128—Proclamation

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Water Legislation Amendment Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 25 June 1999 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act (except Schedule 2.5) commence.

Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to commence certain uncommenced provisions of the Water Legislation Amendment Act 1997. Those provisions amend the Water Act 1912 to include Sydney Water Corporation Limited as a water management authority under that Act and provide that it is taken to have applied for a water management licence under Part 9 of that Act.
