These regulations may be cited as the
Water Industry (Extension of Third Party Access Regime) Amendment Regulations 2024 .
These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.
Regulation 36A—delete the regulation and substitute:
36A—Extension of Part 9A In accordance with section 86ZR(6)(b) of the Act (and following a recommendation of the regulator as required by section 86ZR(6)(a) of the Act), the operation of Part 9A of the Act is extended by a further period of 5 years commencing when the existing prescribed period ends on 30 June 2024.
As required by section 10AA(2) of the
Legislative Instruments Act 1978 , the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
