Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Water Industry Competition (General) Regulation 2008 to extend, indefinitely, the exemption for certain water industry infrastructure from the requirement to hold a licence under the Water Industry Competition Act 2006.

This Regulation is made under the Water Industry Competition Act 2006, including sections 5 (4) (b) and 101 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Water Industry Competition (General) Amendment (Licensing
Exemption) Regulation 2015.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Water Industry Competition (General) Regulation 2008

(1) Clause 19A Water industry infrastructure that was formerly exempt from
requirement for a licence

Omit “, until the end of 1 September 2015,” from clause 19A (1).

(2) Clause 19A (2)
Omit the subclause.
