Water Fluoridation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2012 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Water Fluoridation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2012 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the WaterFluoridationRegulation2008. 3 Omission of ss 4 and 4A Sections 4 and 4A— omit. 4 Amendment of s 5 (Forms of fluoride—Act, s 12(a)) Section 5(d), from ‘the maximum’— omit, insert— ‘the prescribed concentration for the water supply under section 6(2).’. 5 Amendment of s 6 (Fluoride concentration—Act, s 12(b)) Section 6(5), definition local government area , ‘ Local Government Act 1993 , schedule 2’— omit , insert — ‘the Local Government Act 2009, schedule 4’. 6 Amendment of s 8 (Fluoridation notice) Section 8, ‘section 13’— omit, insert— ‘section 13(4)’. Water Fluoridation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2012 [s 7] 7 Amendment of s 11 (Reporting requirements) Section 11— insert — ‘(4) If— (a) the local government for the public potable water supply makes a decision under section 7(3) of the Act that fluoride not be added to the water supply; and (b) the public potable water supplier ceases to add fluoride to the water supply during a particular quarter (the relevant quarter ); the requirement under subsection (1) to prepare a report for the relevant quarter continues to apply to the water supplier.’. 8 Omission of sch 1 (Dates before which fluoride must be added) Schedule 1— omit.
