Water (Application Fees) (Amendment) Regulations

1998

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the that the Regulations are consistent with the amendments made to the Water Act 1989 by the Water Acts (Further Amendment) Act 1997.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 324 of the Water Act 1989.

3. Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Water (Application
Fees) Regulations 19911 are called the Principal
Regulations.

4. New regulation 2 substituted

For regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations
substitute—

"2. Objectives

The objectives of these Regulations are to—

(a)	prescribe fees for applications to issue or renew Driller's licences;
(b)	require persons, who take water from a waterway or bore for domestic and stock use, to give the Minister notice of the amount taken.".

5. Empowering provision

In regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations, omit

"51, 58, 62, 67, 72, 74, 76, 158,".

6. Definitions

In regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations, the definitions of "Diversion Licence", "Groundwater Licence" and "Sporadic Diversion Licence" are revoked.

7. Revocation of regulations

Regulations 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11 of the Principal

Regulations are revoked.

8. Revocation of Schedules

Schedules 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 to the Principal

Regulations are revoked.
