Water Agencies (Charges) Amendment By-laws

(No. 3) 2001

Made by the Minister in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These by-laws may be cited as the Water Agencies (Charges)
Amendment By-laws (No. 3) 2001.

2.             The by-laws amended

The amendments in these by-laws are to the Water Agencies
(Charges) By-laws 1987*.

3.             By-law 17C amended

By-law 17C(3) is repealed and the following sub-bylaw is inserted instead —

(3) Where a charge for the current year under Schedule 1
item 9(d) is more than 13.5% greater than the charge
calculated for the same service (and under the same
circumstances) in the previous year, the charge is only
payable up to that 13.5% increase.

”.

4.             By-law 18 amended

By-law 18(1) is repealed and the following sub-bylaw is inserted instead —

(1) In this by-law —
“eligible pensioner” means a person to whom

section 23(1), (2) or (3) or section 24 of the Rates and Charges (Rebates and Deferments) Act 1992 applies.

”.

5.             By-law 18A amended

By-law 18A(1) is repealed and the following sub-bylaw is inserted instead —

(1) In this by-law —
“eligible pensioner” means a person to whom

section 23(1), (2) or (3) or section 24 of the Rates and Charges (Rebates and Deferments) Act 1992 applies.

”.

6.             By-law 18B amended

By-law 18B(1) is amended by deleting the definition of “eligible pensioner” and inserting instead —

“eligible pensioner” means a person to whom

section 23(1), (2) or (3) or section 24 of the Rates and Charges (Rebates and Deferments) Act 1992 applies;

”.

7.             Schedule 3 amended

Schedule 3 item 11(u)(ii) is amended by deleting “1264.0 c/kg” and inserting instead —

“ 12640.0 c/kg ”.
