WATER ADMINISTRATION ACT 1986—REGULATION

(Water Administration (Corporate Seal) Regulation 1995)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Water Administration Act 1986, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Citation

1. This Regulation may be cited as the Water Administration

(Corporate Seal) Regulation 1995.

Custody of seal

2. The seal of the Ministerial Corporation must be kept in the custody of the Director-General of the Department of Land and Water Conservation.

Use of seal

3. The seal of the Ministerial Corporation must be affixed to an

instrument or document in the presence of:

(a)

the Director-General of the Department of Land and Water Conservation; or

(b)

a person authorised by the Director-General for the purposes of this clause,

who must, by his or her signature, attest the fact and date of the affixing
of the seal.

Repeal

4. The Water Administration (Corporate Seal) Regulation 1988 is

repealed.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to repeal and remake, with no changes in substance, the provisions of the Water Administration (Corporate Seal) Regulation 1988. The new Regulation deals with the custody and use of the seal of the Water Administration Ministerial Corporation.

This Regulation is made under the Water Administration Act 1986, including section

25 (the general regulation making power) and section 7.

This Regulation comprises or relates to matters of a machinery nature.

This Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate

legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
