8 (Qu xtsfattt r ANNO SEXTO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 3 of 1967 An Act to Amend " The Water Acts, 1926 to 1964,19 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 23RD MARCH, 1967] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with-the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as " The Water Acts Amendment Act of 1967." (2) Principal Act. " The Water Acts, 1926 to 1964," are in this Act called the Principal Act. (3) Collective title . The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Water Acts, 1926 to 1967." 2. Amendments to s. 3 . Section three of the Principal Act is amended by, in the definition " watercourse "- (a) omitting the words " in a natural channel "; (b) adding the words " in a natural channel or in a natural channel artificially improved or in an artificial channel which has changed the course of the watercourse ".

Water Acts Amendment Act of 1967, No. 3 9 3. Repeal of s. 16A of Part M. The Principal Act is amended by, in Part III, repealing section 16A inserted by " The Water Act Amendment Act of 1930." Notwithstanding such repeal the provisions of " The Irrigation Acts, 1922 to 1965," shall continue to operate as if this section had not been enacted. 4. Amendments to s. 73A. Section 73A of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in the first paragraph- (i) omitting the words " Land Administration Board " and inserting in their stead the words " Land Administration Commission or a person duly authorized in writing by the Chief Commissioner of Lands "; (ii) omitting the words and numerals " twenty-seven of " The Land Acts, 1910 to 1937," "and inserting in their stead the words and numerals " thirty-seven of " The Land Acts 1962 to 1965," "; (b) in the sixth paragraph, omitting the numerals and word " 1910 to 1959 " and inserting in their stead the numerals and word " 1962 to 1965 ".
