44 Water Act Amendment Act 1981, No. 12 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled , and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Water Act Amendment Act 1981. (2) In this Act the Water Act 1926-1979 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Water Act 1926-198 1. 2. Amendment of s. 11A. Rights of non-riparian owners and occupiers of land to obtain licenses . Section 11A of the Principal Act is amended by in subsection (1) omitting the expression " subparagraph (c) of section 11 " and substituting the expression " paragraph (b) of section 11 (1) 3. New s. 46J. The Principal Act is amended by in Part V inserting after section 46t the following section:- 46J. Maintenance of a superannuation scheme. (1) A Board may. with the approval of the Governor in Council by Order in Council, institute and maintain a scheme or schemes for the provision of superannuation benefits to its officers and employees and for that purpose may provide in such manner as it considers appropriate for the establishment and maintenance of such funds as it considers necessary or desirable and may contribute to such funds. (2) A Board shall not amend a superannuation scheme maintained by it without the consent of the Governor in Council by Order in Council first had and obtained. (3) A reference in subsection (2) to a superannuation scheme maintained by a Board includes a reference to any such scheme maintained by a Board immediately before the commencement of the Water Act Amendment Act 1981. (4) The Governor in Council may in his absolute discretion approve or refuse to approve a proposal to maintain or amend a superannuation scheme.".
