WATER ACT 1912—REGULATION

(Relating to the maximum change payable for the taking and use of water

under section 22C1 of the Water Act 1912)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Water Act 1912, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 July 1992.

Amendment
2. The Water (Part 2) Regulations are amended by omitting from Regulation 42 the matter “$6.50” and by inserting instead the matter

“$14.50”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The purpose of this Regulation is to mend the Water (Part 2) Regulations to

increase (from $6.50 to $14.50) the maximum rate per megalitre of water that the
Ministerial Coporation may charge for the right to take and use water from a river,
lake or section of a river that has been augmented, stabilised or assured by a work of the Crown where the water is to be taken and used for any of the following
purposes

irrigation;

water supply for stock

mining;

recreation;

carrying on any industrial operation;

town water supply.
