WATER ACT 1912—REGULATION

(Relating to the definition of “River” in Part 2 of the Water Act 1912)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,
and in pursuance of the Water Act 1912, has been pleased to make the

Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 July 1992.

Amendment

2. The Water (Part 2) Regulations are amended by inserting after

Regulation 2 the following Regulation:

Extension of definition of “River”

2A. For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of “River” in
section 5 (1) of the Act, that part of the Gol Gol channel shown

hatched black on the map marked “DWR Plan No. 44/623”, a copy of which is deposited in the Parramatta office of the Department of water Resources, is prescribed as being a river.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to extend the definition of “River” in Part 2 of

the Water Act 1912 so as to include part of the Gol Gol channel, as shown on a
map held by the Department of Water Resources.
