Application for registration by an association of employers.
[1] The Waste Contractors & Recyclers Association of NSW (WCRANSW) lodged an application with Fair Work Australia (FWA) on 22 July 2010 for registration as an organisation under section 18(a) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act (the Act).
[2] Notice of the application was published in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. GN31, on 11 August 2010 advising that any notice of objections should be lodged with 35 days after the date of publication.
[3] Objections were received from the Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation (ARTIO), the Shires Association of NSW and the Local Government Association of NSW. Correspondence date 14 October 2010 was received by FWA from the Shires Association of NSW and the Local Government Association of NSW withdrawing their objection and attaching a Memorandum of Understanding between them and WCRANSW. Correspondence dated 9 December 2010 was received by FWA from ARTIO withdrawing their objection and attaching a Memorandum of Understanding between them and WCRANSW.
[4] I am satisfied that all the criteria and requirements have been met and I therefore grant the application.
Orders and Directions
[5] I fix 28 January 2011 as the day of Registration.
