Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Levy

Amendment Regulations 2014

Made by the deputy of the Governor in Executive Council on the recommendation of the Minister.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Waste Avoidance and Resource
Recovery Levy Amendment Regulations 2014.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.           Regulations amended

(a) in paragraph (h)(ii) delete "notice." and insert: notice;

These regulations amend the Waste Avoidance and Resource
Recovery Levy Regulations 2008.

4.           Regulation 5 amended

(1) In regulation 5(1A) insert in alphabetical order:

asbestos containing material means any manufactured
material or thing that, as part of its design, contains

asbestos;

(2) In regulation 5(1):

(b) after paragraph (h) insert:

(i) asbestos containing material if the material

is —

(i) than in contravention of the
Environmental Protection (Controlled

taken to the licensed landfill otherwise and

(ii)     buried at the licensed landfill in compliance with the conditions on the licence.
