Warlike service – OPERATION CATALYST Declaration 2010

1              Name of Declaration

This Declaration is the Warlike service – OPERATION CATALYST Declaration 2010.

2              Revocation of Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance) (Warlike Service) Determination Operation CATALYST

This Declaration revokes the Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance) Act 1990 (Warlike Service) Operation CATALYST Declaration dated                    16 July 2003. 

3              Commencement

This Declaration commences on the day after it is registered.

4              Warlike service – OPERATION CATALYST

For subsection 3C (1) of the Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance) Act 1990, duty is warlike service if it is rendered:

(a)in the Specified Area comprising the total land areas, territorial waters, internal waterways and superjacent airspace boundaries of Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia north of 23 degrees North latitude, the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz;

(b)as a member of the Australian Defence Force allotted for duty on OPERATION CATALYST; and

(c)during the period 16 July 2003 to 31 July 2009.
