JHEREAS by an Act, KO. 24 of 1854, " To Amend the Laws

'71. prescribetl relating to the bonding of goods, and it is expedient to of the Customs in South Australia," certain provisions were
alter and amend such provisions in manner hereiuafter mentioned:
Re it therefoie Enacted by His Xxcellency the Governor-in-Chicf of
South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council of the same,
1. No store shall be appointed for the f'rce warehousing and
only rt rtairt-torts te
securing of goods, as in the said authorized, unless the walls
thereof shall
in thickness at the least, nor unless the same shall be roofed with tiles,
the amount specified in the schedule to this Act |
the same shall be situated within the distance of a mile from the Custom
House, and of one-third of a mile from the wharf frontage.
2. Anything in | c\~:~llowance |
greater allowance shall be made in the levying of duties upon any
wines, spirits, or tobacco, warehoused and secured in any such
for any deficiency that may occur therein, from any cause, beyond
SCHEDULE REFERRED TO.
Schedule of Allowance for Evaporation or Shrinkage on Goods deposited in the Bonded
Warehouses.
WINES AND SPIRITS. During the
six months ending 31st March, one-half gallon per one hundred gallone,per month.
During the
six months ending 30th September, one-quarter gallon per one hundred
gallons, per month.
SPIRITS EXCEEDING FIFTEEN PER CENT. 0. P. During the six months ending 31st March, one gallon per one hundred gallons,
per month.
During the
six months ending 30th September, one-half gallon per one hundredgallons, per
month.
TOBACCO AND CIGARS.
During the six months ending 31st March, one-half pound per one hundredpounds, per month.
During the six months
ending 30th September, one-quarter pound per one hundredpounds, per month.
