REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903–1915 AND THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914–1916.

War Service Regulations 1916.

I, SIR JOHN MADDEN, acting as the Deputy of the Governor-Genera, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the within Regulations under the Defence Act 1903–1915 and the War Precautions Act 1914–1916 to come into operation forthwith.

War Service Regulations 1916.

Amendments.

Regulation 35.—In Sub-Regulation (1) of Regulation 35 after paragraph (g) insert the following new paragraph:—

“(h) On the ground that he is a student at a Theological College and is being trained for the duties of a Clergyman, Priest, or regular Minister of any religious denomination”,

Regulation 52.—Sub-Regulation. (5) of Regulation 52 be amended by deleting the word “section” and inserting in its stead the word “Division”.

Regulation 59a.—After Regulation 59 insert the following new Regulation:—

“59a. For the purposes of this Division of this Part Local Exemption Courts shall, unless the contrary intention appears, include the Chief Registrar of a Military District”

Regulation 60.—Sub-Regulation (2) of Regulation 60 be amended by adding at the end thereof the following words:—

“And in the case of an appeal from the decision of a Chief Registrar, copies of the Notice of Appeal shall be sent by the Chief Registrar to the other sons concerned”.

Regulation 95.—Regulation 95 be amended by inserting after the words “imposed upon him by” the words “this part of”.
