AN ACT to amend the War Service Land Settlement
Scheme Act, 1954-1962.

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent
by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative
Assembly of Western Australia, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the
same, as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the War Service short title
Land Settlement Scheme Act Am€ndment Act, 1972. mit..
(2) In this Act the War Service Land Settlement Act No. 29
| Scheme Act, 1954-1962 is referred to as the amended by | Acts Nos. 9 |
| principal Act. | of 1969 and G of 1902. |
| (3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the War Service Land Settlement Scheme Act, 1954-1972. |

(5) On and after the date of coming into operation of this subsection, notwithstanding any other provision in or under this Act, any other Act, or any Act repealed by this Act
| (a) | there shall not be in any perpetual lease issued under this Act any reser- vation to the Crown of a right to take marketable timber on land the subject of the lease; |
| (b) | any such reservation in any perpetual lease issued before that date under this Act or any Act repealed by this Act shall be of no effect; |
| (c) | no permit shall be granted, and no license shall be issued under the Forests Act, 1919, in respect of marketable timber on land the subject of a perpetual lease issued at any time under this Act or any Act repealed by this Act; and |
| (d) | any permit granted, or any license issued, before that date under the Forests Act, 1919, in respect of market- able timber on land the subject of a perpetual lease issued under this Act or any Act repealed by this Act shall be of no effect. . |
