AN ACT to amend the War Service Land Settlement

Scheme Act, 1954-1960.

[Assented to 27th September, 1962.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the War Service Land Settlement Scheme Act Amendment Act, 1962.	Short title
and citation.

(2)

In this Act the War Service Land Settlement

Scheme Act, 1954-1960, is referred to as the principal

Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the War Service Land Settlement Scheme Act, 1954-1962.

amended. 2. Section six of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word, "obtained" being the last word in subsection (4) a passage as follows-

, and regulations empowering the Minister at his discretion to approve of any contract of sale of land the subject of a perpetual lease granted under the scheme, without requiring that all amounts owing by the lessee in respect of that land to the Minister or other Crown instrumen- tality, authority or agent be first paid.
