REGULATIONS UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914-1916.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the War Precautions Act 1914-1916, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of War Precautions (Supplementary) Regulations as amended to this Date.

After regulation 49 of the War Precautions (Supplementary) Regulations the following regulations are inserted:—

Making statements prejudicial to the raising of war loans.

“50. No person shall, by word of mouth, or in writing, or in any newspaper, book, circular, or other printed publication, spread reports or make statements likely to prejudice the raising by the Commonwealth of any war loan.

Destroying war loan posters.

“51. Any person who, without authority (proof whereof shall be upon him), destroys, injures, disfigures, or removes any poster, advertisement, or notice relating to any war loan shall be guilty of an offence.”
