War Precautions Regulations 1915—Regulation 31—Amendment.
I,
SIR ARTHUR LYULPH STANLEY, Governor of the State of Victoria and its
Dependencies, acting as the Deputy of the Governor-General in accordance with
the provisions of the Constitution, acting with the advice of the Federal
Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the

War Precautions Regulations 1915.
Regulation 31 of the War Precautions Regulations, which reads:—
“31. (1) The competent Naval or Military authority may, by order, prohibit the manufacture or sale of firearms, ammunition, or explosive substances, or any class thereof, within the area specified in the order, either absolutely or except subject to such conditions as may be specified in the order.
(2) If any person without a permit from the competent Naval or Military authority manufactures, sells, or has in his possession for sale within the area so specified any arms, ammunition, or explosive substances in contravention of the order, or fails to comply with the conditions imposed by the order, he shall be guilty of an offence against the Act.”
is amended:—
(
a )by inserting after the word “sale” in the second line of sub-regulation (1) the words “or possession”; and(
b ) by omitting the words “for sale” from sub-regulation (2).
