STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATION UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914-1916.

advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation
under the

Amendment of War Precautions Regulations as amended to this Date.
After regulation 27b of the War Precautions Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—
“27bb.—(1) The Minister may, by notice in the
Gazette, prohibit, either absolutely or subject to such conditions and restrictions as are from time to time specified by him in writing, the exhibition or use of any flag on any building, or on any land used in connexion therewith, or on any ship or other vessel, or in any public place, or in connexion with any procession or demonstration.(2) The exhibition or use of a flag in contravention of any condition or restriction specified by the Minister in pursuance of the last preceding sub-regulation shall be deemed an exhibition or use of the flag in contravention of a prohibition made in pursuance of that sub-regulation.
(3) Any person who exhibits, uses, authorizes or permits the exhibition or use of any flag in contravention of any prohibition made in pursuance of sub-regulation (1) of this regulation, shall be guilty of an offence.
(4) Where any building or land on which a flag is exhibited or used in contravention of this regulation is owned, managed or controlled by any association, society, or committee of management the trustees, executive council, president, secretary and other officers of the association, society or committee, shall be severally guilty of an offence.”
