1917. No. 198.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914-1916.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations, under the War Precautions Act 1914-1916, to come into operation forthwith.

War Precautions (Leather Industries) Regulations 1917.

(Statutory Rules 1917, No. 100).

1. Regulation 2 of the War Precautions (Leather Industries) Regulations 1917 is amended by omitting sub-regulation (2) thereof and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

(2) The Board shall comprise one representative of the Tanners of the Commonwealth, one representative of the Boot Manufacturers of the Commonwealth, one representative of the Brokers and Pastoralists of the Commonwealth, one representative of the Hide Exporters of the Commonwealth, one representative of the Meat Exporters of the Commonwealth, and one nominee of the Commonwealth Government, namely, the Commonwealth Government Hides and Leather Expert.

2. Regulation 2 of the War Precautions (Leather Industries) Regulations 1917 is amended by omitting sub-regulation 3 thereof and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

(3) The Commonwealth Government Hides and Leather Expert shall be ex officio Chairman of the Board.
