REGULATION UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914-1916.

I,SIR ARTHUR LYULPH STANLEY, Governor of the State of Victoria and its Dependencies, acting as the Deputy of the Governor-General in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the War Precautions Act 1914-1916 to come into operation forthwith.

War Precautions (Leather Industries) Regulations 1917.

(Statutory Rules 1917, No. 100, as amended by Statutory Rules 1917, No. 198.)

1. Regulation 2 of the War Precautions (Leather Industries) Regulations 1917 is amended—

(a)by omitting from Sub-regulation (2) thereof the words “one nominee” and inserting the words “two nominees” in their stead.

(b)by inserting in Sub-regulation (2) thereof, after the word “Namely”, the words “the Commonwealth Prices Commissioner and”, and

(c) by omitting Sub-regulation (3) thereof, and inserting in its stead the following Sub-regulation:—

“(3) The Commonwealth Prices Commissioner shall be ex officio Chairman of the Board, and the Commonwealth Government Hides and Leather Expert shall be Deputy Chairman.”
