STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914-1916.

Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations, under the

Amendment of the War Precautions (Enemy Shareholders) Regulations.
(Statutory Rules 1916, No. 38, as amended by Statutory Rules 1916, Nos. 42, 54, 62 and 325, and Statutory Rules 1917, Nos. 101 and 138.)
1. After Regulation 11b of the War Precautions (Enemy Shareholders) Regulations the following Regulation is inserted:—
“11c. (1) Where any shares which have been transferred to or vested in the Public Trustee under these Regulations are sold by the Public Trustee, the Public Trustee may execute a transfer of the shares to the purchaser.
“(2) The transfer, which may be in accordance with the form in the Schedule, shall have the effect of transferring to and vesting in the transferee absolutely all the right title and interest of the Public Trustee and of any predecessor in title of the Public Trustee in and to the shares notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary contained in any law of a State and notwithstanding any lien or charge existing on the shares.
(3) Where any shares were transferred to or vested in the Public Trustee subject to any lien or charge the Public Trustee shall hold the proceeds of the sale of the shares subject to such lien or charge.”
2. After Regulation 19 of the War Precautions (Enemy Shareholders) Regulations the following Schedule is added:—
